Basis & Assumptions
- Calculated by dividing the total gross parking area by a standard ECS metric.
- ECS includes the parking stall plus its proportionate share of driving aisles and ramps.
- The ECS figures shown span several regions (US surface/structured, UK/EU bays, NBC India open/stilt/basement); parking standards are intensely local, so confirm the value in the code that applies to your site before relying on them.
For quick design checks and study, not a substitute for your local Development Control Regulations, NBC provisions, or a licensed professional's judgement. Always verify against the bye-laws that apply to your site.
